Our latest product releases will be on display and our team will be excited to showcase our high power  semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA/RSOA), distributed feedback (DFB), and external cavity laser (ECL) technologies.

 

Featured Technologies

(1) SOA/RSOA Platform

SemiNex offers a full range of Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA) and Reflective SOA (RSOA) solutions, designed with proprietary epitaxy and waveguide structures to deliver high gain and high-saturation output power. These products support data center, optical network, and AI computing applications, while also enabling photonic integration with custom Si PIC solutions.

 

With options spanning from chip on carrier (COC), arrays, short pulse butterfly, SemiNex provides the performance and flexibility required for next-generation optical systems.

C & O-Band SOA/RSOA
• High-gain, high-power performance for FMCW LiDAR and Optical Networks
• Available in COC, butterfly fiber package, or multi-channel arrays
• Optimized for efficiency and superior signal amplification
L-Band SOA
• Centered at 1595 nm with broad 3-dB bandwidth
• Offered as single emitter or array configurations
• Custom integration options for Si PIC
Short Pulse SOA Butterfly
• 1 ns rise and fall time for short pulse amplification
• Polarization-maintaining fiber and built-in isolator before output fiber
• Available in O-, C- and L-band

(2) Narrow Linewidth High-Power ECL
SemiNex expands its laser portfolio with high-power External Cavity Lasers (ECLs), delivering ultra-narrow linewidth and precision wavelength control. Designed for demanding applications such as FMCW LiDAR, OFDR, OCT, aerospace, and industrial sensing, these ECLs combine SemiNex’s proprietary Gain Chip and high-power SOA within a Photonic Integrated Circuit for exceptional stability and performance.

Customers can choose from ultra-narrow fixed-wavelength models or versatile wavelength-swept modules, both optimized for high output power, low noise, and excellent side-mode suppression.

  • Narrow Linewidth High-Power ECL
    • Ultra-narrow <3 kHz or 10 kHz Lorentzian linewidth models
    • >200 mW output power available in C- and O-band
    • Integrated SemiNex Gain Chip and SOA with PIC for wavelength stability, low RIN, and high SMSR
    • Available in 14-pin butterfly package
  • Wavelength-Swept ECL Modules
    • ECL-310-S1: 1550 nm with 10 GHz (0.8 nm) sweep range
    • ECL-310-S3: 1550 nm with 600 GHz (4.8 nm) sweep range
    • Up to 200 mW output power with narrow linewidth and high stability
    • Complete turn-key system with integrated driver, controller, and butterfly-packaged ECL
    • O-band configurations also available

(3) Distributed Feedback (DFB) Lasers

The new high power CW DFB laser diodes are available in both C-band and O-band wavelengths. With superior linewidth, they provide longer detection range for LiDAR and increased transmission distances for optical networks and data centers. DFB multichannel and multiwavelength arrays are also available per custom request.
