SemiNex Corporation Anti-Human Trafficking Policy
l. Purpose
SemiNex Corporation ("SemiNex") adopts this Anti-Human Trafficking Policy ("Policy") to outline SemiNex’s stance against human trafficking. This Policy applies to SemiNex and its subsidiaries and affiliates and aligns with SemiNex’s Code of Business Conduct and core values, ensuring respect for human dignity and rights in all business practices.
This Policy complies with:
- Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR 52.222-50 and 52.222.56)
- The Massachusetts Transparency in Supply Chains Act
- The UK Modern Slavery Act
- Directive 2011/36/EU of the European Parliament
- Laws in all countries where SemiNex conducts business
ll. Policy Applicability
SemiNex enforces a zero-tolerance policy prohibiting any human trafficking-related activities.
This includes:
- Involuntary or forced labor (including bonded, debt bondage, indentured, and involuntary prison labor)
- Commercial sex acts
- Slavery
- Trafficking of persons
Prohibited actions include:
- Engaging in any form of trafficking in persons.
- Procuring commercial sex acts.
- Using forced labor in any work.
- Destroying, concealing, confiscating, or otherwise denying access to an individual’s identity or immigration documents, such as passports or driver’s licenses.
- Using misleading or fraudulent practices during recruitment or employment offers, including failing to disclose key terms and conditions of employment, such as wages, benefits, work location, living conditions, housing costs, significant costs to be charged to the candidate, and, if applicable, the hazardous nature of the work.
- Using recruiters who do not comply with local labor laws.
- Charging recruitment fees to applicants or candidates.
- Failing to provide or pay for return transportation if required by law or contract.
- Providing or arranging substandard housing if required by law or contract.
- Failing to provide a written employment contract, recruitment agreement, or other required work documents in writing if required by law.
lll. Responsibility
Each employee, subcontractor, and agent of SemiNex is responsible for ensuring compliance with this Policy.
lV. Disciplinary Action
Any violation of this Policy could result in disciplinary actions, including but not limited to:
- Removal from a contract
- Reduction in benefits
- Termination of a business relationship
- Termination of employment
V. Reporting
Credible information regarding a potential violation of this Policy, whether by a SemiNex employee, agent, subcontractor, or subcontractor employee, must be immediately reported to the Human Resources Department at SemiNex Corporation.
Employees, subcontractors, and agents can report violations without fear of retaliation. Honest reports made in good faith will not affect their relationship with SemiNex Corporation.
