High Brightness 25 and 50 Watt Multi-Chip Modules Available from SemiNex

High Power IR Laser energy delivered via large core optical fiber

SemiNex is pleased to announce further expansion of its product line to include High Brightness Multi-Chip Modules in the 13xx to 17xx nm region.  At 1315 nm the recently introduced MCM-HB delivers up to 50 watts through a single 400µm core fiber.  Lower power versions of 25 watts are also available.  These are the highest SWIR powers achievable through any commercially available single fiber core module.

These high power lasers are used in a variety of applications requiring high brightness, high power laser energy.  SemiNex is working with customers to deploy these systems in applications such as illumination, material processing, LIDAR and security.

The MCM-HB module is an expansion of the successful SemiNex MCM product brand which utilizes fiber bundles to achieve high power emission.  The laser modules are based on SemiNex’s existing InP laser chips and are packaged to maximize efficiency and space requirements.

The SemiNex efficient modular approach allows SemiNex to substitute the 1350 nm laser chips with other wavelengths and achieve state-of-art performance at wavelengths from 1295 to 1650 nm.  For example at 1470, 1532 and 1550 nm SemiNex is able to provide powers up to 50 watts.  Other wavelengths are available upon request and listed on the SemiNex website at
